Reflection.

Our Lady, in the order of nature, is lower in the scale of being than the angels. But in the order of grace she is higher than they. No creation of God has ever approached her greatness, her perfection, her closeness to her Creator. This mystery is not merely that she becomes Queen of Heaven because Christ crowns her, but rather that He crowns her because she is already Queen.

Our Lady is the one complete human person in heaven. There are many human souls - the saints - but they will only be complete as persons when at the last day they get their bodies again. Our Lord took to heaven a complete human nature, but His is the Person of God the Son. Mary alone is a human person in Heaven, body and soul: a complete human person, crowned by her Son Queen of the angels and saints and Queen of men.

Prayer.

I praise and glorify you o eternal Trinity for having given us for Mother Mary, Mediatrix of all graces.

O Mary, universal Mother and Mediatrix of all graces, pour the fullness of your grace into my heart so that I may welcome you, like Saint John, with filial and total love, consecrating myself to your Immaculate Heart.
